Terms and Conditions for Participants
Set out below are the terms and conditions which you (“the Participant”) agree to as a condition of acceptance onto the Graduate European Programme (“the Programme”) run by the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Great Britain (“the SCC”).
Payment
The cost of participation on the Programme is £2,200.
A 15% non-refundable deposit of £330 is required to secure a place on the Programme and is payable after the SCC has formally notified the Participant that they have been selected to participate on the Programme and is subject to the Participant having passed the written and oral English tests. The remainder of the fees must be paid at least 10 days before the commencement date of the Programme.
If the balance of the fees has not been received at least 10 days prior to the commencement date of the Programme, the SCC reserves the right to withdraw the Participant from the Programme. The deposit is non-refundable in all circumstances. The SCC cancellation policy is set out in detail below.
Payment of the deposit and fees must be made by bank transfer to the SCC bank account. Payment should be made for the full amount required, in Sterling, including any applicable bank charges. The Participant is required to notify the SCC office once payment has been made.

Expenses
Fees for the Programme do not include travel or accommodation expenses. Participants are responsible for making their own travel and accommodation arrangements and for the cost of travel and accommodation.
Companies participating in the Programme (“placement companies”) have indicated that they will contribute to the out of pocket expenses incurred by the Participant to a minimum payment of £95.00 per week. This payment is to contribute towards the cost of travelling to and from work and for lunches on days worked. Whilst the SCC endeavours to ensure that this payment is made by placement companies directly to Participants, the SCC does not accept liability for non-payment of these expenses.
Cancellation Policy
If this agreement is cancelled, the following provisions apply:
Cancellation must be made in writing to the SCC office. The date that notification is received in writing by the SCC is the official cancellation date and the following cancellation provisions will apply:-
• All cancellations incur loss of the deposit;
• For cancellations made up to 15 days prior to the commencement date of the Programme – A full refund will be given;
• For cancellations made at any time after 15 days prior to the commencement date of the Programme – 90% refund of the balance will be given;
• For cancellations made after the commencement date of the Programme - No refund will be given.
(In exceptional circumstances the final decision regarding refunds of the remaining balance will be at the sole discretion of the SCC).
Complaints Procedure
If a Participant believes they have genuine reason for complaint, they should notify the SCC as soon as possible. The SCC will respond to the Participant and investigate all reasonable complaints. The SCC will use its best endeavours to resolve any problems. The SCC will not be able to respond to complaints received after the Participant has completed the Programme. The SCC is only able to investigate complaints which were notified to the SCC by a Participant during the course of the Programme.
Accuracy of Information
Whilst every effort has been made to ensure that the information contained in our literature and website is accurate, the SCC will not be liable for any losses incurred as a result of errors or omissions howsoever caused.

Placement Agreement
As a Participant on the Programme you are required to agree to the conditions set out below:
I certify that the information supplied on my application form to participate in the Programme is correct and I confirm that I accept and understand the following terms:-
• that the placement companies may vary in size and predominant language(s) spoken;
• that I may be placed anywhere in Greater London;
• that I will not receive any information about the placement companies until the induction week;
• that I understand all of the Programme costs and agree to pay the balance 10 days before the start date;
• the cancellation policy outlined above;
• that acceptance by a placement company is subject to a satisfactory interview and that after 3 consecutive unsuccessful interviews the SCC cannot guarantee a placement and may be withdrawn from the Programme if no alternative placement company can be found;
• that the placement company’s decision is final and the placement start date will depend on the outcome;
• that the SCC will not pay me for my placement and that all the expenses connected with it, including travel, accommodation and related costs must be borne by me;
• I am not an employee of the SCC or the placement company and that there is no expectation of employment at the end of my placement;
• That the SCC accepts no liability for costs arising from accidents and/or illness incurred during my placement;
I agree to the following obligations with respect to the placement arranged by SCC:
1. To conduct myself at all times in a responsible and professional manner;
2. To comply with the placement company’s policies and procedures;
3. To keep confidential any information I acquire during my placement in respect of the placement company’s business, employees, clients, customers, products, affairs or finances either during my placement or at any time after the termination of my placement;
4. To return all property belonging to the placement company at the end of my placement.
